New Photo Frame tool use photo as a background of the frame. In addition, there are few options to control the final result:

  • frame width
  • shadow color, transparency, and width
  • overlay color and transparency 
  • blur background

Same photo with different shadow color:

  • Frame with red color shadow
  • Frame with black color shadow

Photo with an orange color overlay on the left and blurred background on the right:

  • Frame with an orange color overlay
  • Frame with blurred background

You can also try some amusing effect, like this one:

To reproduce the example above:

  • Click on Frames
  • Choose “Photo“
  • Chang frame width and shadow to best fit your purpose
  • Hit ✓ to Save
  • Choose “Photo“ again. This time frame will be applied to the image with the frame, and you’ll get an effect like above
  • Hit ✓ to Save
